How to prepare website content in 15 minutes

A website project moves faster when the content is ready. This list takes about 15 minutes to work through. Rough notes are fine.

1. Your business in three lines

What you do, who you do it for, and where you work. Write it the way you would explain it to a new customer.

2. Your main services or products

List each one with a one or two line description. Start with the ones you most want to sell. Note any that you do not want shown.

3. Contact details

The phone number, WhatsApp number, email address and business address you want published, plus your opening hours and the areas you serve. Only include details you are happy for the public to see.

4. Logo, photos and brand colours

Your logo file, a few clear photos of your work, team or location, and your brand colours if you have them. Use images you own or have permission to use.

5. Proof you can share

Real customer feedback or past work that the customer has agreed to share. Leave this out if you do not have it yet. A plain, honest site is better than invented praise.

6. What should visitors do next?

Choose one main action: call, message on WhatsApp, book, or send an enquiry. Every page can then point to it.

7. Examples you like

Two or three websites whose look or layout you like, and anything you dislike. This saves rounds of revisions later.
